India (probable 11): Shubman Gill, Abhishek Sharma, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Riyan Parag, Rinku Singh, Dhruv Jurel, Washington Sundar, Ravi Bishnoi, Avesh Khan, Tushar Deshpande, Khaleel Ahmed
Zimbabwe was quite interesting to watch in 2022 world cup however failed to qualify it to 2024. After this disappointment, they face a daunting challenge as they face the T20 world cup champions. India, even with their team B will be a tough challenge for Zimbabwe.

India starts the post world cup campaign with fresh faces and some of the IPL champions like Abhishek Sharma, Riyan Parag, Sai Sudharshan, Tushar Deshpande and Harshit Rana. They would be absolutely keen to test the new faces at international level after the retirement announcement by all-time great batting legends Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. World class allrounder like Ravindra Jadeja will also not be seen in International T20s in future. Now India’s primary focus would be on identifying the huge void created at the top order and identify replacement of Jadeja who has been magnificent with his all-round abilities especially fielding.

Shubman Gill: He would like to forget the disappointing performance in IPL with Gujarat Titans finishing eight out of ten teams in IPL2024. The shift in his role after not picking up in world cup to captaining the side will be crucial in India’s success not just against Zimbabwe but in future as well.
